Regular vs PRO
The underside of Floor Defender Pro Garage Containment Mats features a tatami grain pattern for increased traction. This patterned backing prevents these mats from lifting and allows them to retain their shape over extended periods of time. Also, the tatami grain patterned backing produces a smoother, less wrinkled surface than the smooth backed regular Floor Defender Garage Containment Mats.

The Floor Defender Garage containment mats are made out specifically out of extra durable 900 GSM Vinyl fabric that can handle heavy duty use in the environments. They are vacuum packed into a compact box for optimal storage and shipping. When the mat is first removed from the box, it is natural for the folds to create wrinkles on the Floor Defender Garage Containment Mats. These wrinkles usually disappear over time as the mat relaxes when deployed on the garage floor.
Heat plays a big roll in relaxing vinyl fabric and colder weather may prolong the relaxation process. We recommend mopping with hot water or using a hair dryer over the wrinkles if you would like to speed up process. However, the wrinkles should not affect the functionality of the mats and will disappear over time.
Installation & Care
INSTALLATION
Take product out of box and layout on surface that is being covered. Make sure same area is clear of debris/items that could cause indentations and/or possible tears in fabric. Unfold product completely and understand not all wrinkles may come out because of the heat-sealed seams. We designed our product to be used Seam Side UP! This creates more of a tray effect to collect rain, snow, mud or other fluids. Having the seam side up provides a slight texture to the mat, making it less slippery overall. Seam side up also allows the mat to lay flatter on the garage floor.
CLEANING AND CARE
A cleaner surface helps maintain longer life for FDGC. For best results clean mat weekly with a soft bristle broom, mop, or squeegee. We recommend keeping FDGC end close to the garage threshold and hosing the FDGC with a mild kitchen detergent to remove dirt and debris. If mat is soiled with oil or other chemicals please use proper disposal, (check with your local government on disposal requirements)
